What is CNG?
CNG stands for compressed natural gas. It is gaseous fuel and is a mixture of hydrocarbons mainly Methane. For use in Automobiles as fuel, it is compressed to a pressure of 180 -220 Kg/cm² to enhance the vehicle on-board storage capacity.
Can Customer fit CertifiedCNG kit in existing Car?
Yes. you can put CertifiedCNG kit in your existing car. CertifiedCNG kits have been modified for your cars engine to optimize engine performance and comfort.
What is the capacity of a cylinder, and mileage from one fill? How does one get to know the quantity of CNG left in the cylinder?
Size of cylinder varies according to boot space in your car. Typical CNG cylinder has 65 liter water-carrying capacity and is capable of carrying approximately 8-10 kg of CNG. Though the mileage is dependent on various factors, however a completely filled up cylinder may take you to around 200Kms / fill. However it is recommended to maintain a minimum quantity of petrol in the car always.
Is CNG safe to use?
Yes. CNG is completely safe. The properties of CNG make it a safe fuel. It is lighter than air, and hence in case of leakage it disperses into the atmosphere rapidly. Its high auto-ignition temperature of 540 degrees centigrade as against petrol’s 360 degrees centigrade makes it even more safe fuel.
Will CNG harm my engine in any way?
No, usage of CNG does not harm the engine in any way. CNG enters the engine as gas while petrol comes in as spray or mist this ensures its complete combustion thereby the carbon deposition is avoided resulting in a cleaner engine and lesser wear and tear.
Does CNG kit require servicing?
Yes CNG requires periodic servicing. A detailed maintenance schedule is provided with your invoice
Will my car still run on petrol if I run out of CNG?
Yes. There would be an indication when the CNG levels are low. The car automatically shifts over to petrol when you run out CNG. However it is recommended to maintain a minimum quantity of petrol in the car always.
Does CNG have odour like LPG?
No, CNG is odour-free.
Is there a change in the car’s performance / power?
Vehicle’s performance remains unaltered as CertifiedCNG Kits are modified and specifically designed to work with your engine. There will be No significant change in power.
In which countries are natural gas vehicles popular?
Natural gas as a vehicle fuel has a long and established record in Europe, Canada, India, New Zealand, Australia and USA. Other countries such as Japan, Mexico, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are recognizing the benefits of CNG and plan to expand its use.
Can I sell my CNG vehicle or will it have to be removed?
Yes, you can sell your car without removing your conversion kit.
Will my car pass Pollution under Control (PUC) Tests with the CNG Kit installed?
Yes, there is a separate PUC test conducted for cars fitted with CNG Kits.
Any problem with RTO registration?
No there is No problem in getting your CNG car registered. We will help you to get this process and complete the RTO registration on your behalf.
